I am a web developer and have specialised in ASP.NET and SQL Server since 2003. My development skills include C#, SQL Server, HTML, XML, Javascript, CSS, IIS, VB and Flash. I work for a security company and previously held programming roles in manufacturing and banking since starting an IT career in 1999. For my current role I primarily write and maintain web applications for customers and staff, but also do some system engineering to support our servers and clients.

In December 2007 I achieved an MCPD in .NET2 web applications. My other development skills include Windows forms, Windows services and Web services.

I have also been building and upgrading my PCs for nearly ten years - best not mention the motherboard set on fire by a faulty power supply in 1997!

I've been interested in computers ever since owning a BBC Model B in the mid 80s. I cut my teeth writing cheats for BBC games, copying games from tape to disc and spending days on end typing in long listings from computer magazines which never worked. My younger brother was an avid Spectrum fan and we had several heated arguments about our respective computers: his was rubbish because of colour clash; mine was rubbish because it had hardly any games.
